During my working days i seem to have a timetable like those old school days. This rings a bell in my mind that life is a training and is continuous. Sometimes during the school days, we hated teaches showing us what was right-that time definitely we were looking at it as bad! You know- "wake up at 6am and get ready for school". Hmmmm and those days Kabale was so cold!
However, these days i don't have anyone to tell me to wake up. By 6am i am always out of my bed to go and look fr bread. Remember during the school days i thought that probably during the time like this, i would wake up at at anytime of the day that i wanted.
Yeah i can still do that but it's only maturity that i tell myself, "You must wake up early enough and go to work smartly". Every time i wake up i make the sign of the cross as a catholic and make a simple prayer and i get out of bed. It's got into me that once it's 6am i must wake up.
From 7am till 6pm i dedicate the time to office and national work. Time from after 6pm till 6am, is all mine to plan and choose what best i can do to get a better life than what i have.
Surprise is that most of my time i am so much with computers!!!! And i remember that i am an IT professional. No matter, the world is moving all IT! I hung out mostly in clubs with friends. That's part of the life i live. So simply!
You can still wake up at any time you want. Its all in your mind. Who says that work can only be done during the traditional working hours?? Its all in your mind. A change of career (assuming you really want to) can show you different possibilities - as a freelnacer, I work when I want. U see the work you do from 8am to 5pm can be done in the first three hours of your day. But you have friends to greet, facebook to comment on, comapny mails to read half of which are stale forwads and those that your are just copied - not intended for you, then you have long meetings to discuss a lot of non issues - so yeah, thats the corporate world. Just know you can change your life if you need too - take a leap of faith.

ReplyDeleteU see thats the problem. Who defines what is wierd and normal. Shld we say that since most countries are embracing homosexuality it has now become normal? Those of us who do not are wierd? Have you not seen guys go to play Golf at 8:am in the morning as rush to work?? Have you not seen people hold business meetings from 9pm to 5am? So all those are weird according to you? Plus its a global village my friend - while its 6:00PM and ur planning to go home and sleep, its just mid night in china and people there are waking up to start work. With the internet, time zones are nolonger a barrier. I am one of those that trade in the African markets, Asian Market, European and End with the American Market - thanks to the internet. And by the way, its 3:00 AM (Ugandan Time) as I type this. I guess I am wierd according to you.
